The Convert Type-Catalog Files command will act as two roles actually. One is to convert Type-Catalog Files (with .txt extensions) to .csv files; the other is to do reversely, converting .csv back to .txt.
Let's take the following folder and files as an example.
As can be seen, at this moment, no .csv files exist in the folder.
If the Convert Type-Catalog Files command is invoked and the folder is picked as follows,
and the Yes button is chosen in the coming option dialog.
All the six Type-Catalog Files with .txt extensions will be converted to .csv ones, as a coming information dialog declares.
We can verify the fact as such.
In fact, as can be seen, the original Type-Catalog Files are kept there. Some new copies are created and renamed as .csv. It is as designed for the safety and comparison purposes.
If the other option, converting .csv back to .txt is chosen in the option dialog, the command will do reversely. By the way, if any files with the same names are already there, they will be overwritten automatically.
All of these can be exercised in the free trail edition of Revit Family Organizer.
