SPF-Application Connector helps connect a Shared Parameter File with the Revit application that is currently being run. The application connected SPF will be operated by many relevant tools and by the native Revit Shared Parameters tool as well.
After the SPF-Application Connector button is clicked, it asks for a Revit Shared Parameter File.
If a valid SPF is picked and the Open button clicked, the tool will connect the SPF to the current Revit application. In the future, the application connected SPF will be used by the native Revit shared parameters tool and many tools from Revit Parameter Organizer. If the connection succeeds, the following message will show up.
If the Cancel button is clicked instead in the file Open dialog, the tool will pop up the following dialog asking what to do next in case the application has a SPF connected already.
If the No button is clicked, the existing SPF-Application connection will not be touched, otherwise if Yes clicked the connection be removed.
After the connection is set up, the SPF Viewer or Editor tool can be used to double check those shared parameters in the connected SPF.
