Revit Project Organizer 2018: Transporters - Transport Legends

The Transport Legends tool in the Transporters group of the Gadgets toolset helps transport legends from the current model to others.

After the ribbon button is clicked, a dialog will appear.

G_TransportLegends

List of Concerns:

  • Display Hierarchy: to specify the criteria that the list is based on, By Type, By Class, By Discipline, By Phase, or By Name.
  • Tree Nodes: can be checked (fully or partially) to indicate what concerns will particular into the coming operations.
  • Buttons: Check All/UnCheck All/Collapse/Expand/Show Checked/Show UnChecked/Invert Chosen/Show Al

Buttons:

  • Cancel: to dismiss the dialog without doing anything to the model.
  • OK: to close the dialog and transport chosen legends.

If the OK button is clicked, a model picker will show up as follows.

G_TransportViews_Pick

After one or more good model candidates are chosen and the OK button clicked, those views will be transported into these models accordingly. A progress bar will appear to show what will be going on in any moment.

At last, an information box will appear to display what have been done.

The transporting result can be checked by switching to the model and see.

Before the transportation, there are no legends at all in the target model.

G_TransportViews_Before

After the transportation, the model has many legends, as specified in the transporter dialog.

G_TransportLegends_Result

Whether to replace those existing duplicate legends having the same names as concerned in the transporter dialog can be specified in the Transporters group of the Settings dialog.  Whether to copy 2D elements on the legends of concern can also be specified there.
