In the previous post, we reported a fatal error about Revit global parameters. Reader Yna D. confirmed it and hinted that some Revit builds might behave different and adding prefix/suffix to the parameter names might also work, so we did some more testing in Revit 2019, on which platform we are currently improving and testing new builds of Revit Parameter Organizer 2019.
Both prefixes and suffixes were added to both Area and Volume global parameters this tim, but we found the same bad results. Here is such a new screenshot.
Oh, it is pretty strange then! Global parameters have been there for a few Revit versions but this simple operation does not work at all!
If the Global Parameter Editor tool of Revit Parameter Organizer addin report the values of those global parameters the same wrong as follows, please do no blame the tool. It has an Examine button but the feature cannot address this kind of problems either.
The tool can change parameter names, UI groups, disciplines, types, reporting or not properties in a single nice place right away besides setting and displaying values and formulas. In addition, new global parameters can be added and old chosen ones be deleted. Furthermore, all global parameters can be saved out as either a well formatted TXT file or an Excel compliant CSV file for other purposes.
Dear Yna D., thanks a lot for the information. We tried to reply your comments but the typepad did not allow. It seemed they were changing their system thus the disruptions occurred.
